Jivy Group protects client systems and data with Microsoft security solutions, continuous monitoring of company devices, and a team that reviews security alerts and steps in when needed.

October is European Cybersecurity Month, an EU campaign that encourages companies and people to review how they protect their data. We are using it as an occasion to explain how Jivy Group handles security every day.

Jivy Group is a nearshore software engineering company with teams in Chișinău and Bucharest, working with fintech and AI clients across Europe. In these industries, clients give an external team access to their code, systems, and data, and they expect that team to protect them by the same standards they apply internally.

Which security tools does Jivy Group use?

Almost a year now, Jivy Group moved to Microsoft security solutions. We chose what many of our clients already use, so our engineers work in an environment clients know and trust, and neither side has to adapt to a different security setup.

How does Jivy Group handle security alerts?

The solution monitors company devices and detects suspicious activity. When an alert comes up, the system analyses it and can respond on its own, for example by isolating a suspicious file or stopping a process. Our team reviews the alerts, steps in where a person needs to decide, and lets colleagues know when an issue affects their work.

Why does a single security view matter?

Alerts, device status and responses are all managed in one place. We get a single view of the company’s security instead of switching between separate tools.

Why does a software partner’s security matter for clients?

For a nearshore partner, security is part of the partnership itself. Fintech companies in the EU have to manage the risks that come with their technology providers under regulations such as DORA, which has applied since January 2025. AI projects often involve sensitive training data and access to client systems. In both cases, the client’s security is only as strong as the security of every team with access to their systems, and that includes their software partner.
